Year 5 enjoyed their various Bushcraft activities during their residential trip at the beginning of June. They made shelters, cooked on the fire, practised their first-aid skills and some even tried a famous delicacy on this trip: the salmon eyeball!
“Sleeping in the shelter was an amazing experience. I really enjoyed constructing it!”. Alfie M
“I was brave enough to taste the fish eye. It was disgusting!” Angus
“We really liked the plane crash simulation. It was scary and fun!” Ebba and Kathryn
“The highlight for me was to make my own burger!”. Alfie D
The plane crash was so fun because we saved our teachers.

Bushcraft was so fun! Three people ate a fish eye, and we ate salmon cooked on the fire. We ate fajitas, pizza, pancakes, chocolate brownies, full cooked breakfast cooked over the fire and burgers cooked over the campfire. We did a plane crash SOS simulator and Tribes got talent. Best residential trip ever!!!

I loved going to Bushcraft and doing SOS, making shelters, eating salmon cooked on fire, collecting wood from the forest, playing lots of fun games, solving riddles, making our own tools, making camcord bracelets and doing a number-off!
