The Technology in My Life

Computers are one of my all-time favourite pieces of technology. The Z1 was created by Konrad Zeus in his living room between 1936 and 1938. This was the first really functional computer. The first desktop computer was called the programmer 1o1 released in 1964. It cost $3200. I think that’s a lot, but I never knew how much a computer now costs!

The electric Car was not an invention of the modern times. The electric car has a long and storied history.  Introduced more than 100 years ago, electric cars are seeing a rise in popularity today for many of the same reasons they were first popular. Whether it’s a hybrid, or all electric or plug in hybrid, the demand for electric drive vehicles will continue to climb as prices drop and customers look for ways to save money at the pump.

Near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Orville and Wilbur Write make the first successfully flight in history of a self-propelled, heavier-than-air aircraft. Orville piloted the petrol-powered, propeller driven biplane witch stayed in the air for 12 seconds and covered 100 feet on its first flight

The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876.  He made the call on March 10, 1876. The first words spoken to his assistant, Thomas Watson; “Mr Watson –come here- I want to see you.”

Do you ever wonder what virtual reality is? Well, now you will. The definition of virtual reality comes from the definitions for both virtual and reality. The definition of virtual is near and reality is what we experience as human beings. So the term virtual reality basically means near reality. This could of course, mean anything, but it usually refers to a specific type of reality emulation.
