Pre-Prep loved their first visit of the year to Clearwood. After a bumpy ride up the farm track, we all found our special keys to enter the wood (a sign of autumn or a perfect leaf) and then we were able to enter our special forest school area. The morning started with a game of ‘1,2,3, where are you?’ and then we separated into groups for activities which included bark rubbing, colour matching and twig writing. We then came back round the campfire for a delicious hot dog lunch with sausages cooked over the open fire. This was definitely the best part of the day for some children! After lunch children could have some free play time or practise whittling with vegetable peelers to make magic wands. We returned to school tired but happy.
What a great first trip to the Forest School Pre-Prep. I love the woodland colour match cards.
